Northern Giants Ready to Battle it out Live as NEM Hawks Take on Liverpool

The next instalment of England Handball’s new live streaming service will feature the battle of the North, as NEM Hawks take on Liverpool.

After the new streaming partnership was announced last month – the first broadcast deal of its kind – handball fans can now watch England’s Premier League matches live online.

The first round of live-streamed matches saw over 7,000 people tune in to watch the men’s and women’s clashes between West London Eagles and London GD. Next weekend, on Sunday, November 20, NEM Hawks and Liverpool Handball Club go head-to-head in the second live instalment.

The men’s fixture will throw off at 1.30pm before the women’s match at 3.30pm. The matches are accessible through EHA’s social media channels.

A selection of weekend games from the Men’s and Women’s Premier Leagues will be streamed throughout the 22/23 season, alongside expert commentary.

The live stream will also include half-time shows and end-of-game wrap-ups. The new service has been launched alongside a new show, Handball Hits – Monthly Wrap. Hosted by Live Sport Now’s Ian Waterhouse, and Jack Oliphant.

Alongside special guests, the show discusses match highlights from the past month and interviews with key players. Handball Hits will be broadcast once a month, with the next episode airing later in November.

If you missed the debut October programme, it’s available for rewatch across England Handball’s social channels. John Pearce, National Competitions and Events Manager at England Handball said: “It’s great to be moving into a place where England Handball can live stream games.

“We are pleased to start this project and aware we have a lot of work to do to bring it to a great standard and something our membership and external audience can resonate with.

“Initial viewing figures are positive, Ian and the team have some great ideas and a real passion to create something great for the Handball fan. So we look forward to the next edition and will endeavour to keep raising the quality of what we do.”

All programmes will be streamed on EHA’s social media channels. To receive reminders and details shared in advance of the fixtures, make sure to follow and like our pages.
