England Handball seeking two new board members

Both positions will be recruited through the EHA Appointments Committee and at least one of the appointments will be a Non-Executive Director appointed by the board. One position will be Elected and ratified by the England Handball members.
Having recently conducted a skills audit, to ensure an optimum balance of skills across the Board and to replace directors whose term of office has come to an end, we are prioritising people who can offer one or more of the following:

  • England Handball is seeking a Board Director with expertise in safeguarding and welfare.
    This key role supports our mission to create a safe, inclusive environment across the sport. You’ll provide guidance on safeguarding policy, ensuring best practice and compliance. Passion, integrity, and a collaborative approach are essential.
  • In depth knowledge of Handball with a thorough and up to date understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the England Handball community.

Candidates will be confident communicators and strategic thinkers. You will bring experience of working collaboratively on a board or similar committee and have a strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

We look for colleagues who will encourage, challenge and support us to be the best that we can be.

You will have experience working in a Board or similar committees at a senior level, in a commercial, voluntary or public sector context.

You will have a commitment to understanding and accepting the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of a Company Director.

Above all else for all positions, you will have a desire to improve the organisation and development of the sport in England
