There are just days left to enter this year’s England Handball National Schools Competition, with registrations set to close on October 20.
The competition welcomes both Boys’ and Girls’ teams from the U13 and U15 age categories – and is open to all schools across England to participate.
In a similar format to last year, the National Schools Competition will be divided into three stages – the county round, regional round and National Finals, giving young handballers plenty of opportunities to compete and showcase their skills.
In the initial county rounds, teams will compete in tournaments hosted by schools across the country, taking place between December 2023 and March 2024. Geographically, the cup will be split into the following regions: North West, North East, West Midlands, East Midlands, South West, South Central, South East and East.
Winners of county rounds will then progress through to the regional finals, hosted on a single day by England Handball in March and April 2024 at a venue yet to be announced.
The National Finals will then see the top two teams from each region face off at England Handball’s end of season showcase event. This year’s National Finals weekend is set to take place on June 23 at Nottingham University’s Sir David Ross Sports Centre, and will feature the finals of all England Handball cups – right up to the senior Men’s and Women’s competitions.
