The deadline to enter this year’s England Handball National Schools Competition has been extended.
Last year, 450 schools and thousands of children took part in what was the biggest England Handball event in recent years.
This season, organisers are hoping for another great turnout, and have given interested schools slightly longer to submit their entry forms.
The new deadline for team entries is November 3.
Stacey Andrews, National Partnerships Manager at England Handball, said: “The anticipation is building for the start of our National Schools Competition, and I know there are lots of teams that can’t wait to get started.
“We know it’s been a super busy term for everyone, so we just wanted to give that little bit more time for schools to get their entries in.
“We can’t wait to see thousands of children – both new and experienced handballers – get involved in our exciting, fun, fast-paced sport.”
The competition is open to all schools in England – for teams in the u13 and u15 categories.
The first rounds will take place between November and March next year, before regional rounds take place in April and May.
The winners of the regional rounds will then progress through to the National Finals weekend, hosted by England Handball in June at Nottingham Trent University.
