England Handball is seeking a Governance and Safeguarding Manager.
The Governance and Safeguarding Manager will be responsible for providing specialist advice and guidance to colleagues and member clubs across the England Handball Association in line with national guidance and local Safeguarding Policies.
The postholder will also be responsible for maintaining the Child Protections in Sport Unit (CPSU) Advanced Standards for Safeguarding Children and Young People and support the EHA to achieve the Anne Craft Trust (ACT) Standards for Safeguarding Adult.
In addition to this, they will also be expected to design, develop and implement an effective and robust safeguarding framework that covers Handball in England as well as activity that falls under the umbrella of the British Handball Association (BHA) in alignment with their needs.
The postholder will also take the lead on organisational governance, ensuring that England Handball is compliant with the Code for Sport Governance.
The Governance and Safeguarding Manager will strive to ensure that all those participating in Handball, whether as a participant, coach, referee, volunteer, or staff member, can do so in a safe and welcoming environment.
